On the first day arrived at Barcelona airport, recalled that we need to overnight at airport. It wasn't that easy for us, especially ladies. The weather is cold, no place to be lay on and exhausted at all, yet it was a good experience that we gain for.

An adventurous, courageous, excited back pack oversea trip.

Underground train, Barcelona

Next station, walk around the street city of La Rambla to explore the culture of Barcelona which has 2000 years of history. Barcelona is a bilingual city, Catalan and Spanish are both official languages and widely spoken.

La Rambla is a street in central Barcelona, popular with tourists and locals alike. A tree-lined predestrian mall, it can be crowded, especially during the height of the tourist season. Its popularity with tourists has affected the character of the street, with a move to pavement cafes and souvenir kiosks, there are plenty of street performers on La Rambla. It has also suffered from the attention of pickpockets, so tourists has to beware during travel.

All of us were lucky due to we encounter the La Merce Festival of Barcelona on that day.
What is so special? Every year close to the end of September Barcelona holds its largest street party, the Barcelona La Merce Festival. Firework is the most highlighted of the day!

The most highlighted of Barcelona trip - culture & building structure. Casa Batllo, is a renowned building located in the centre of Barcelona and is one of Antoni Gaudi's masterpieces. The local name for the buidling is Casa Dels Ossos (House of Bones), as it has a visceral, skeletal organic quality. It was originally designed for a middle-class family and situated in a prosperous district of Barcelona.

Another highlighted building - Torre Agbar, Barcelona. It is a 38-story skyscraper/tower located between Avinguda Diagonal and Carrer Badajoz, which marks the gatewat to the new technological district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

After that, we assemble at Palau Nacional (National Palace). It was the main building of the exhibition, constructed between the years 1926 and 1929 for the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona. Gaze to the heavens to catch some pretty spectacular fireworks down at the city hall, the closing act of the festival also includes the Magic Fountain of Montjuic with roaring music, competing against the sound of fireworks exploding in the air. You just can not get a more dramatic end to La Merce!
