DAY 5 | REUTTE - INNSBRUCK - VENICE AREA

Another day for next tour, after breakfast leave for Innsbruck, a small township with old town lined with charming shops and cafes. The 1976 Winter ski jump site is now under reconstruction and will not be visited.(100 km)

We get chance to see the old town with the balcony of Maximellium of 15th Century. It resembles a stage set and the purpose of the balcony was meant for the Duke to speak down to his subject or being adored and admired by them. One of the most outstanding elements of the balcony is non other than it's roof - The Golden Roof of Innsbruck, is now the symbols of the township.
Innsbruck is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol in western Austria.

Apologized that I didn't get chance shoot the golden roof, therefore let me show you here with closer image I source from website.

The Town of Innsbruck, Austria
Austria is also the home of the world famous Swarovski crystal. We have a chance to marvel at the endless creation of its product from the local show room. See in display the "Dragon" which is not for sale; and of course many Chinese would love to own the Lotus and the Pineapple crystals which is synonymous with LUCK, and GOOD HEALTH. Indeed a very popular souvenir to most.

A pair of Pierced Earring (Swarovski) to reward myself

Continue to Italy, the route via Bozano; Verona; Vicenza etc. (250 km)

While walk around the Verona city, a watch shop which attracted me - Panerai.
Panerai was born in 1860 in Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, the art and the science which have made Italy famous throughout the world for its creativity and genius. Values that Officine Panerai expresses through its watches, which it reinterprets over time with passion, technical excellence and exclusive design. Click the link for more details.

Don't you think it's attractive?

Arrival for walking tour of Verona. We stop at the city centre near to the Arena. Walk to the Herb Market and also to see the Balcony of Romeo and Juliet, brings alive this dramatic love story of the lovers torn apart by family feud. The shopping of Italian fashion is one of the great things to do when you have some free time later on.

Souvenir shop nearby the balcony Romeo & Juliet

Balcony of Romeo and Juliet, Verona
Juliet's purported balcony, in Verona. Beneath it, on the walls, there are love letters.

Verona has to be one of most beautifully Italian cities, it bring the feels of romantic story of Romeo and Juliet. The balcony of Romeo and Juliet located at Casa di Giulietta, Verona. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. In the final suicide scene, there is a contradiction in the message - in the Catholic religion, suicides were often thought to be condemned to hell, whereas people who die to be with their loves under the "Religion of Love" are joined with their loves in paradise. Romeo and Juliet's love seems to be expressing the "Religion of Love" view rather then the Catholic view. Another point is that although their love is passionate, it is only consummated in marriage, which prevents them from losing the audience's sympathy.

In Verona, It features the balcony, and in the small courtyard, a bronze statues of Juliet. It is one of the most visited sites in the town. The metal of its chest is worn bare due to a legend that if a person strokes the right breast of the statue, that person will have good fortune and luck in LOVE
