DAY 10 | A DAY AROUND LAKE LUCERNE - MULHOUSE

Leaving hotel after breakfast and we shall embark on a beautiful journey with picturesque scenery till we come to the city of Lucerne. Lucerne, the most visited city in Switzerland will capture your mind with all different possibility of activities today. 
Firstly, visit "The saddest monument of the world - Lion's Monument then follow by a walk through the old town area viewing the city hall, chapel bridge, etc..

 On the first day of Eurotrip, I bump into my secondary school basketball friend coincidentally. Ten and Daphne came from the same secondary school, Convert School whereas I knew Ten when the time I participant basketball friendly match with their basketball team (on my age of 14). Ten, still the cool & charm person in first impression.

DAY 9 | MILAN SHORT VISIT - LAKE LUCERNE

Breakfast in hotel. Depart for the Italian Financial City - Milan. The city famous for Da Vinci's last supper. A painting that has caused enormous controversy in the Catholic world. (This painting will not be visited due to large crowd in a small church of St. Gracia.)

Stop briefly by the Milan New Opera house, time to walk in to the large shopping mall of the Galeria Vittorio Emanuelle II, indeed a monument itself. See the Duomo. 

All a while, please beware of pickpockets and gypsy here.

Lunch on your own. And I have mine fast food as lunch - Burger King which is definitely juicy cheeseburger. Yes, double some-more! :D

One of the most precious piece of art in Milan Cathedral, is the sculpture of St. Bartholomew, by Marco d'Agrate, made around 1562 and placed in the right transept of the Cathedral. St.Bartholomew was condemned to one of most cruel and inhuman execution: the Syrian martyrdom. That is being skinned alive and then beheaded. The status depicts the saint flayed with the Bible in hand. The masterpiece is characterized by fine precision anatomical with which the human body is rendered devoid of skin, with the skin thrown like a stole on the shoulders and body of the martyr.

The sculptor, with not too much modesty, signed it on the bottom of the statue. "NON ME PRAXITELES SED MARCO FINXIT AGRAT." ("I was not sculpted by Praxiteles, but by Marco d'Agrate").
